American tourist hit by stray bullet in Cancun after being caught in crossfire during cartel execution by gunmen on jet skis

Mexico’s tourist mecca, Cancun, has become a crime scene after jet ski assassins shot dead two men as a stray bullet hit an American tourist.

The cheeky hitmen were reportedly on board the craft as they fired their guns from the sea at their targets in the hotel zone of Playa Tortugas.

A woman in a bikini was recorded being transported to an ambulance by medics – one of them pressing a wad of blood-stained white cloth onto the woman’s left shoulder.

“Water,” can we hear him panting, according to images published by De Peso. “It’s hot. Water. Water.”

She is believed to be treating herself at a local hospital, according to Cancun Urban.

Separately, two bodies (both believed to be men) were smashed under a loose blue tarp and lying at the entrance to a souvenir shop next to outdoor tables and chairs white plastic El Sureste reported.

Investigators dressed in white hazmat suits were seen huddled around a palm tree where a body was on the ground, according to De Peso.

The publication reported that the two men on the ground showed no vital signs.

The suspected jet ski shooters fled through the water after the attack, witnesses told El Sureste.

The beach was quickly sealed off with duct tape at the crime scene as investigators from the Quintana Roo attorney general’s office searched for clues.
