In a few hours, the revolution will be televised, and a new HBCU football champion will rise at the Celebration Bowl.
THE CHAMPION ALREADY STARTED TO WIN
The final scoreboard will not determine this new champion.
If you’ve read the plots and writers’ signatures, you’ve taken note of the diversity of thought, prose, and writers who have chosen to cover a lost topic – HBCU Football.
Three-to-four-letter broadcasters, radio show jocks, obscure sports writers and podcasters weighed in on their opinions this week. The shocking developments for the most part were not so surprising and intrusive to others – fans, alumni and admirers of HBCU football.
Is the shift in power looming on the horizon? No, he landed.
THIS REVOLUTION WILL BE TV
Iconic singer Gil Scott-Heron wrote and pseudo-rapped these words, “THE REVOLUTION WILL NOT BE TV.”
I do not agree.
At noon on ABC Sports, “THE NEW REVOLUTION WILL BE TV.”
The main character will be a new college head coach named Deion Sanders. Its supporting cast will dress and wear the Jackson State logos and uniforms.
I proclaim. Whether JSU wins or falls in the state of South Carolina on that day, they will still be the 2021 HBCU Champions.
Maybe it’s time we started to âbelieveâ this divine date that could mean more to young men in Jackson State than the HBCU landscape.
Coach Deion Sanders has a vision and is determined to fulfill his mission.
You may never know if it’s about staying at JSU or defeating new enemies. As the legendary mythical knight Don Quixote, he dreams the impossible dream. All HBCU, FCS and FBS football fans and watchers will be waiting and watching today.
The ripple effect of this new champion has already rippled through the college football skyline this week – more aftershocks and tremors are expected.
A new HBCU National Champion will be crowned in front of 71,000 boisterous fans and millions of viewers this December 18th.
Will it be Jackson State or South Carolina State?
We will see.
