College football fans despise MTSU, Charlotte 49ers jersey suit


The helmets were quite a different color, but Middle Tennessee State and the Charlotte 49ers football teams wore jerseys that looked quite like the viewers on TV.

MTSU wore gray helmets, white shirts with gray pants and gray helmets.

Charlotte wore green helmets, light gold shirts, and light gold pants.

Charlotte tweeted about 30 minutes before kick-off: “Your favorite uniforms have been confirmed. Not bronze. Not silver. #GoldStandard.”

They weren’t a favorite with people watching from home.

Football fans hate MTSU, Charlotte jersey jumpsuit

Rodger Sherman of The Ringer said: “Watching MTSU-Charlotte and maybe it’s just me, but it should be illegal for two teams to wear such similar colors. IDK how they don’t throw picks at each Game.”

Eric Walker tweeted: “So… why is MTSU wearing white and Charlotte wearing off-white…? Has anyone thought about the uniforms? Lol.”

Jason Smith tweeted that the Charlotte / MTSU swimsuit “makes my eyes bleed.”

Charlotte defeated MTSU 42-39.

MTSU went 1-3 overall and 0-2 at CUSA. The Charlotte 49ers improved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 at CUSA.

After Friday, MTSU leads the all-time series 4-2 against Charlotte.
