Chances are you’ve already seen the alternate Notre Dame uniforms they’ll be wearing for the Shamrock Series game against BYU in October. If you haven’t, you can check out an up-close photo gallery of the uniforms and before the end of your day, you’ll want to spend four minutes watching the EPIC video that Notre Dame used to unveil the jerseys.
I really like the jerseys, I like the white, and my only real issue with them is that they have a bit of a Georgia Tech feel to them.
The video however has no flaws. If there’s an award for “Best College Football Uniform Reveal Video,” then that’s pretty much the Belmont Secretariat.
Find out how the college football world reacted to seeing him below.
Personally, Michael Mayer’s line on jersey color was my favorite.
Young Golic has daytime soap potential but Marcus Freeman is ready for Netflix right now https://t.co/pYTSss9Apj

Just a warning – if you’re on social media and consider yourself a college football fan, you need to follow Josh. The guy bleeds from college football, is as knowledgeable on the subject as anyone, and really LOVES the game.

Love ’em or hate ’em, Barstool Sports has a MASSIVE following. It’s not that Notre Dame suffers for media coverage, but when this clearly younger outlet praises Notre Dame and makes the program cool, then it’s a win for Freeman and the Irish.
Imagine this movie being a BK thing. You can not. We are becoming more modern day by day and I embrace it ☘️

I don’t see any lies here. Plus, I have to make another appearance on this podcast soon!

This video is so disgusting. Notre Dame has become the cool program again, folks.
Read this and cry.

The day Marcus Freeman was officially named head coach, I had several conversations with friends about how Notre Dame was about to be cool again and a lot of people were going to be uncomfortable as their hatred for the Irish faded. It will only grow – at least until the massive amounts of winnings begin.
I hate that they did such good publicity
—Herb Lawrence (@Ecnerwal23) July 27, 2022
Herb is a longtime friend and former colleague. He bleeds blue and orange for the University of Illinois and generally despises all things Notre Dame. When he praises South Bend (in his own way), you know Notre Dame knocked that out of the park.

Sean is a Houston talk show host I used to listen to in Chicago talking about the Astros and Texans but he graduated from Notre Dame and here is saying exactly what Irish fans around the world were thinking .

Hopefully it won’t be long before Freeman starts winning the regular season and the playoffs too, Nick.
Shit, Marcus Freeman did it. Our Lady is so friendly. https://t.co/CTmRu8lQbt

Oh it’s happening, Katie. Welcome aboard!
Marcus Freeman and Shane Beamer might just be the friendliest coaches in college football. https://t.co/C0BkahLC2k

There are a few others, Sam Pittman in Arkansas is the one I would include, but yeah, Freeman is definitely high on that list.
Marcus Freeman is going to make all the people who hated Notre Dame kinda like Notre Dame and make all the people who love Notre Dame kinda crazy, so that’s called a win-win https://t .co/VrROmb8fGM
— Brian Oliu (@BrianOliu) July 27, 2022
I know there are those who hate the Notre Dame stadium video board, hate the grass and hate the super loud music, but I honestly think that’s the very large minority. That or I’m dealing with a lot more Notre Dame fans who see the point in realizing it’s not 1993 anymore.
Everyone is focused on the jersey and I’m here wondering when I can buy this hoodie pic.twitter.com/Uti8NDgZdQ

I don’t know how many times I’ve seen a picture of Marcus Freeman since December and thought “take my money, I need this shirt” and apparently I haven’t seen one available at the purchase. It certainly applies here, but will no doubt soon be available at an Under Armor retailer near you, I’m sure.
